The mission of the Jonathan Companion Group is to reach out to people affected by cancer, people in palliative care, people at the end of life, as well as people going through bereavement to provide support and comfort.

Service offerings

Bereavement

Complementary information: Opening hours: 24 hours 24/7 days 7 (volunteers) Office 8:00 to 21:00 Location where the service is offered: MRC Nouvelle-Beauce; MRC Robert Cliche(to St-Joseph), MRC Lotbinière(St-Sylvestre + St-Narcisse + St-Patrice) Fees: For transport service $ 0.35 / km for chemotherapy and follow-up, $ 0.25 for radiotherapy

Transportation and accompaniment

Complementary information: Opening hours: Reservation required. Location where the service is offered: MRC Nouvelle-Beauce; MRC Robert Cliche (up to St-Joseph), MRC Lotbinière (St-Sylvestre, St-Narcisse, St-Patrice) Fees: 0.35/km for transportation to chemotherapy treatment and medical follow-ups; $0.25 for transportation to radiotherapy treatment.

Support group

Complementary information: Vivre d'espoir (treatment) and Vivre sa vie (survivor) groups. Opening hours: Check the organization's website for meeting times and locations. Accompaniment in severe diagnosis

Complementary information: Accompaniment in severe diagnosis, especially cancer. Opening hours: 24 hours a day / 7 days a week (volunteers) office from 8am to 9pm. Palliative care

Complementary information: At home. People who have been diagnosed with an end-of-life diagnosis of less than 2 months are eligible for a room at the CHSLD de Sainte-Marie, the Maison du Grand Littoral or the Maison Michel Sarazin.
