Massage therapy

The Quebec Cancer Foundation offers massage therapy sessions at only $25 for 60 minutes to all people in treatment for cancer.

Those massages delivered by our specially trained in the field of oncology massage therapists certified by the Fédération québécoise des massothérapeutes provide many benefits, including stress and pain reduction, better sleep and a greater sense of well-being.

“These massages let me relax completely, decrease anxiety and bring me back to the present moment. They have an immense effect on the healing process.”

For whom ?

For people being treated for cancer and who wish:

  • To relax and reclaim their body
  • To relieve pain
  • To forget about cancer for a moment

Our massage therapists

Certified by the Fédération québécoise des massothérapeutes, our massage therapists have special training in massage in the field of oncology. Compassionate, respectful and ready to listen, these professionals can adapt to the physical condition of the patient in order to provide relaxation that will enable the individual to devote more energy to their healing.

The benefits

Due to its effects, both physiological and psychological, massage therapy can help reduce several of the symptoms brought on by cancer and its treatments, such as: nausea, pain, fatigue, anxiety, stress and depression. It can also increase the feeling of relaxation, sleep quality and the reaction of the immune system, at the same time bringing significant improvement to the mood of patients.
