The Quebec Cancer Foundation and Ovarian Cancer Canada have joined forces to provide improved access to support for a greater number of Quebecers facing cancer. This partnership seeks to ensure that yet more people faced with or at risk of developing ovarian cancer can receive the information and support that will allow them to live a full, longer and healthier life.
“Thanks to this partnership, the Quebec Cancer Foundation once again ascertains its desire to cooperate with all of the sector’s stakeholders, as a means of touching and providing support to yet more people facing cancer and their loved ones,” stated Marco Décelles, General Manager of the Quebec Cancer Foundation.
By working together, the two organizations will be able to provide help, activities and resources in all aspects of the cancer journey, while also providing opportunities for persons with ovarian cancer and their loved ones to connect with and obtain support from their peers. Moving forward, Ovarian Cancer Canada will redirect patients to Quebec Cancer Foundation’s Info-cancer Hotline, hence enabling all Quebec residents — as well as persons from elsewhere in Canada on occasion — to speak with oncology professionals, easily and at no cost, by simply picking up the phone.
“It is absolutely critical that we work in close collaboration with community partners to better serve those who need us the most, while also reaching out to people battling ovarian cancer. We are proud of our recent partnership with the Quebec Cancer Foundation,” declared Tania Vrionis, CEO of Ovarian Cancer Canada.
