Yet more support thanks to our partnership with Kidney Cancer Canada

The Quebec Cancer Foundation is joining forces with Kidney Cancer Canada as a way of offering yet more support to people with cancer.

There has been significant progress with regard to the number of cancer diagnoses and deaths over the past few years. Our collective understanding of cancer and its origins and evolution has also been enhanced, and we have learned more about the most effective prevention and treatment strategies. Yet despite these advances, the number of new cancer cases continues to rise, mainly due to demographic growth and an aging population. The respective missions of our organizations are now of critical importance. While other stakeholders are focusing on the disease itself, we have turned our attention to the people impacted and their ongoing well-being.

“We are pleased to join forces with the Quebec Cancer Foundation to enhance services for our community, particularly through the complementary therapies offered by the Foundation. Our organization is resolutely focused on the future and aware of the challenges that lie ahead to better support Canadians affected by kidney cancer. This partnership is another step in the right direction, and we are very excited about it,” said Christine Collins, Executive Director, Kidney Cancer Canada..

Kidney Cancer Canada is a national community of patients, caregivers, and health professionals who work to provide every Canadian touched by kidney cancer with free support, education, and advocacy for their care pathways and treatment options.

“Together, we will strive to improve the quality of life of yet more people impacted by cancer, both in Quebec and across the country. We will be there to listen, provide information and comfort, and accompany them during every step of their journey. Partnerships such as this one, along with the ongoing efforts of various organizations in our field, allow us to continue fulfilling our essential mission of providing support to patients with cancer and their loved ones,” emphasized Marco Décelles, General Manager of the Quebec Cancer Foundation.

By standing united in support of greater access to services, we are achieving our common desire to improve the daily well-being of people with cancer and their loved ones.
