Bereavement

Complementary information: Individual or group support service offered to bereaved individuals. Registration required. Service offered in French only. For bereaved individuals. Hair alternative

Complementary information: Sale of chemotherapy caps. For people living with cancer. Opening hours: Open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Location where the service is offered: Sherbrooke : Brompton–Rock Forest–Saint-Élie–Deauville, Fleurimont, Lennoxville, Les Nations. Fees: Cost varies depending on the selected item (between $5 and $35).

Hair prosthesis

Complementary information: Low-cost wig lending service. It is also possible to donate gently used wigs in good condition. By appointment only. For people living with cancer. Opening hours: Open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Location where the service is offered: Sherbrooke : Brompton–Rock Forest–Saint-Élie–Deauville, Fleurimont, Lennoxville, Les Nations. Fees: Cost of $50, plus a refundable $50 deposit returned upon the wig’s return.

Home support services

Complementary information: Family support workers provide assistance with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene care, meal preparation, and laundry, while also offering respite to caregivers. Registration is required. The frequency and duration of services are assessed based on individual needs. The service is available in both French and English. For people living with cancer, their loved ones and their caregivers. Opening hours: Open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Location where the service is offered: Sherbrooke : Brompton–Rock Forest–Saint-Élie–Deauville, Fleurimont, Lennoxville, Les Nations. Fees: Fees are adjusted according to income. Transportation costs for errands are additional.

Complementary information: Physical activities supervised by a kinesiologist, walking club, adapted yoga, meditation and stress management workshops. Registration required. Psychosocial Support

Complementary information: Individual or group support service for individuals living with cancer and their loved ones. Group sessions are offered in person at the organization’s offices. Individual sessions are offered in person and may, depending on needs and circumstances, be adapted to telephone sessions. The service is offered by appointment and is available in French only. For people living with cancer, their loved ones and their caregivers. Look Good and Feel Better workshop

Complementary information: Wellness workshops offered in partnership with the organization Look Good Feel Better Canada to help individuals undergoing treatment better cope with the physical changes related to cancer. Topics include skin and nail care, hair alternatives, wigs, beauty products, and various techniques that promote well-being and self-esteem. Offered in French at the organization’s offices. For people living with cancer. Opening hours: Contact the organization to find out the date of the next workshop. Transportation and accompaniment

Complementary information: Transportation and accompaniment service available within the City of Sherbrooke only. Registration required. For anyone living with cancer in Sherbrooke, including its boroughs, as well as individuals staying in Sherbrooke during their treatment. Opening hours: Open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Location where the service is offered: Sherbrooke : Brompton–Rock Forest–Saint-Élie–Deauville, Fleurimont, Lennoxville, Les Nations. Fees: Fees are based on income. For its beneficiaries, the Income Security program covers transportation costs related to medical appointments.
