Thanks to our partnership with the ÉkiSanté clinic, we are thrilled to announce that people with cancer can now benefit from kinesiology services in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region.
EkiSanté began offering kinesiology assessment and follow-up services in St-Fulgence since July 2022. More people facing cancer will be able to benefit from kinesiology sessions close by, in person and at no cost.
“We couldn’t be happier with the opening of the EkiSanté clinic in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. This new service offering represents an opportunity for even more Quebecers with cancer to access our adapted physical well-being programs and free of charge”, emphasized Marco Décelles, General Manager at the Quebec Cancer Foundation.
The new kinesiology sessions now available in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean complement our wide range of services offered in our 6 Regional Centers, either online or in person, and in collaboration with our partners:
- In Abitibi-Témiscamingue, with Physiothérapie Yves Plourde, inc.
- In the Beauce region, with Pavillon du cœur Beauce-Etchemin
- On the North Shore of Montreal, with Maude Bergeron
- On the South Shore of Montreal, with Kinik
Well-known for its positive impacts on both mental and physical health, we were the first organization in Quebec to offer kinesiology to people facing cancer and, at no cost.
By building multiple partnerships and collaborative efforts across the province, the Foundation pursues its desire of Being Closer to the People (link available in French only). We are truly committed to increase access to this adapted physical activity for people living with cancer.
