The Quebec Cancer Foundation is pleased to announce the recent nomination of Ms. Isabelle Girard as an observer member of its Board of Directors.
“We are thrilled to welcome Isabelle Girard to our Board. The members of the Board of Directors and I are confident that she will prove to be a valuable and passionate asset able to levy her significant knowledge of the healthcare system in support of the Foundation’s efforts,” noted Dr. Philippe Sauthier, President of the Quebec Cancer Foundation’s Board of Directors.
A nurse by training who has held management positions for more than 25 years now, Isabelle has a vast experience and wide-ranging expertise in the healthcare sector. Moreover, her in-depth knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem has enabled her to take part in countless novel projects and in so doing, help improve healthcare policies and services.
In 2014, she founded Plakett Services Cliniques, a consulting firm specialized in the development and organization of front-line healthcare services. A serial entrepreneur at heart, she also created Plakett Santé Numérique, in addition to organizing Canada’s largest annual health industry convention, First Line in Health.
Formerly the Executive Director of the province’s association of medical clinics (Association des cliniques médicales du Québec), namely from 2014 to 2018, she now chairs the health committee of the Fédération des Chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ), in addition to being actively involved in think tanks, young entrepreneur groups and organizations promoting innovation in healthcare.
“My deeply instilled desire to make a difference is in large part responsible for my wanting to support the Quebec Cancer Foundation’s mission. As a businesswoman, I deem it important to become socially involved, especially as I fully support the Foundation’s values and purpose. Given my professional and personal background, sitting on the Foundation’s Board is a natural extension of who I am and what I stand for,” summed up Ms. Girard.
This nomination further supports the Quebec Cancer Foundation’s commitment to providing quality support and companionship to people touched by cancer. It goes without saying that we are convinced that Ms. Girard will prove to be a precious ally to our common objective.
