Info-cancer line: a major partnership to optimize access to support

March 15, 2023

To further enhance the support available to people facing cancer, we are joining forces with the Canadian Cancer Survivor Network (CCSN).

The number of cases continues to increase for most cancers. Nevertheless, earlier diagnoses and better treatments have led to a decrease in mortality.

“Fortunately, many more people are going through this ordeal. However, this creates an increased need for new programs and services to ensure the post-cancer reintegration of people with cancer, once their treatments and recovery are complete. This is why we are happy to be able to count on our new partnership with the Quebec Cancer Foundation (FQC). By referring our members to the Info-cancer Line, we offer them better access to information, support and concrete resources,” says Tiziri Ait Ali, communications assistant for the Canadian Cancer Survivor Network.

RCSC is a national network that strives to connect people with cancer and other stakeholders, with decision makers and the community to engage in discussion and action on recognized best practices in care, survivorship and research in oncology.

“Together, we will better meet the needs of even more people affected by cancer across the country. Thanks to the Info-cancer Line, members of the Canadian Cancer Survivor Network will be able to benefit from the expertise of our experienced oncology nurses who will be able to inform them and refer them to a free consultation service; with our nutritionists, our psychologists, our social worker and our librarians,” says Marco Décelles, Executive Director of the Quebec Cancer Foundation.

By mobilizing our strengths for accessibility to services, we are thus achieving our common desire to improve the well-being of people with cancer and that of their loved ones on a daily basis.
