Two new members named to the Board of Directors

May 16, 2024

The Quebec Cancer Foundation is thrilled to announce a few exciting changes to its Board of Directors, changes that herald a new era of leadership and commitment to the Foundation’s mission. The first appointment is that of Ms. Vicky Reinoso to a director role after spending the last three years as an observer member of the Foundation’s Board. Having personally faced cancer, Ms. Reinoso will bring to the table her passion and first-hand knowledge of the issues and challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis. The Foundation is also excited to welcome a new observer member, Ms. Catherine Dupuis.

“It’s rewarding to realize that the Foundation’s dynamic approach is bearing fruit, as a new generation of successful women step up to support an organization like ours to foster well-being and give back to society. I’m looking forward to the contribution that Ms. Reinoso and Ms. Dupuis will bring to our Board,” explained Dr. Philippe Sauthier, Chairman of the Quebec Cancer Foundation Board of Directors.

The founder of CD Extensions, Ms. Catherine Dupuis, created a business specializing in hair extensions and wigs after being forced to deal with hair-related issues from a very young age. Her company now has a highly visible presence throughout the province, thanks to quality products, effective strategic communications and a proactive approach to social networks. A young and committed philanthropist, Ms. Dupuis is oft described by her peers as a successful entrepreneur who is involved, determined, passionate and infectiously vibrant in all that she does.

“I’ve always been driven by the desire to make a positive difference in my community. These last few years, the stories from courageous women which I was privileged to hear as part of my work, particularly those in remission, inspired me to get yet more involved in the cause of cancer. By taking on the role of a member of the Quebec Cancer Foundation Board of Directors, I hope to have a significant impact on the quality of life of people affected by cancer. I am honestly happy to be able to bring my experience, my skills and my network to the Foundation’s table, intending to enhance its reach and its impact,” underscored Ms. Dupuis.

These nominations illustrate the Quebec Cancer Foundation’s ongoing commitment to offering people facing cancer more compassionate support and access to concrete resources. The Foundation does not doubt that Ms. Reinoso and Ms. Dupuis will become valuable allies in its efforts to attain its core mission.

The impact of the postal strike is being felt on the funds raised.

However, strike or no strike, cancer doesn’t take a break.

Thank you for making an emergency donation to help us continue providing sustained support. 💜
