Every day, nearly 190 people in Quebec learn they have cancer — the leading cause of death in the province as well. Behind this number are colleagues, business partners, clients… and sometimes loved ones.
Across Quebec, this ordeal disrupts the daily lives, employment, and financial stability of those affected and their families. Many must leave their region to receive treatment, far from their support systems, adding fatigue, stress, and extra costs. That is where the Quebec Cancer Foundation steps in: lodging services, psychological support, access to healthcare professionals, reliable information, complementary therapies, as well as financial and legal assistance to help ease the burden of cancer.
Anne‑Marie, 42, experienced this reality head-on. She went from a fulfilling professional life to a lymphoma diagnosis. Very quickly, she realized that the healthcare system treats the disease — but not everything required to stay strong day to day. The Foundation’s Info-cancer Services and other resources helped her through the ordeal with greater dignity and peace of mind.
“It takes a village to get through cancer, and for me, the Quebec Cancer Foundation is that village.”— Anne-Marie, Foundation beneficiary
Your corporate leadership can help build that village for others like her. In 2026, our goal is to raise $10 million to support even more people across Quebec affected by cancer.
Cancer won’t wait. But your support can make all the difference.
From one leader to another, let’s make things move. By joining the Quebec Cancer Foundation’s network of committed corporate partners, companies send a powerful message to their teams and business community: leadership is also measured by the ability to care for people.
Together, let’s turn the strength of local businesses into an anchor of hope for thousands. Thank you for being among those who change lives — like Anne-Marie’s.
The Foundation also works upstream in prevention and screening to reduce cancer’s impact on our society.

At 42, I was at the peak of my professional and personal life. A sports nutritionist and project manager. I know health. And yet, I didn’t see cancer coming.
In the fall of 2024, doctors attributed my symptoms to heartburn. Medications were adjusted. I was prescribed a gastroscopy… a year later. After weeks of medical wandering, everything changed in February 2025. I couldn’t even stand in the subway. I was admitted to the hospital as a priority 1 case, and a few hours later, the verdict came down: lymphoma.
A $1,000 donation amounts to less than $3 a day over the course of a year, but it can turn a difficult time into a source of hope for someone with cancer and their loved ones in our community.
